Visitor statistics
To help Farmers Daughter see how the website is used, it counts visits. For each page viewed it records the page, its title, the website you came from (such as Google or Facebook) and the time. It also counts taps on things like the phone number, email address, directions, social media and booking or checkout buttons, recording only the kind of tap and the page.
So it can tell new visitors from people who come back, your browser is given a random number, stored in your browser for this website only and kept for 12 months. It isn’t linked to your name, email address, IP address or any other website, and there are no advertising trackers. The statistics are kept by oo.studio, which looks after this website, and Farmers Daughter only sees totals, such as how many people visited each month.
To remove the number, clear this website’s data in your browser settings.
No forms or online orders
This website has no sign-up or contact forms, online ordering or bookings, so it doesn’t ask for your name or contact details.
The chat button
The “Chat with Ivy” button opens a chat window run by SayGday, which answers common questions about the cafe. What you type in the chat goes to SayGday so it can find an answer, so there’s no need to include personal details.
The map
The map on the Visit page comes from Google Maps. When it loads, Google receives your connection details to send it, and Google’s own privacy policy applies.
Fonts, links and hosting
The pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to fetch them. Links to Instagram, Facebook and Google Maps take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
The website is hosted by Netlify. Like any website host, Netlify processes connection information (such as your internet address) to deliver these pages securely.
